🔒KYC and Due Diligence Requirements for Company Registration and Bank Account Opening

💼1. Identity Verification

Legal Entities (Companies / Foundations)

  • Certified copy of the Certificate of Incorporation or equivalent.
  • Certificate of Good Standing (if company incorporated for more than 1 year).
  • Certified copy of the Memorandum of Association or equivalent document.
  • Certified copies of the Registers of Directors and Members.
  • Identity and Address verification for Directors and Shareholders.

Natural Persons

  • Certified copy of valid passport bearing the applicant’s photograph.

🏠2. Residential Address Confirmation

  • Recent account statement (max 3 months old) from a recognised bank, building society, or credit card company.
  • Photographic driving licence or national identity card with current address if not used for ID verification.
  • Recent utility bill, council tax, or mortgage statement (max 3 months old).
  • Official correspondence from government departments or agencies.
  • Mobile phone bills are not accepted.

3. Notes on Certification

  • Photographic ID: “Having met the holder and having seen the original document, I confirm this is a true and accurate copy and the photograph bears a true likeness.”
  • Utility and non-photographic documents: “I confirm this is a true and accurate copy of the original document.”
  • The certifier must have seen the original document and met the individual face-to-face, sign, date, print name, indicate position, contact details, and professional membership if applicable.
  • Acceptable certifiers include embassy officers, lawyers/notaries, actuaries, accountants, or company secretaries qualified under a recognised professional body.

💳4. Bank Account Opening Requirements

  • Passport as per identity verification above.
  • Residential Address Confirmation as above.
  • Professional Reference Letter from an accountant, solicitor, or bank manager for all Directors, Shareholders, and appointed bank signatories.
  • Additional requirements may apply depending on the bank or jurisdiction.
